WagayWay Festival

Wagayway Festival is the first festival to be renowned in the City of Imus in line with the celebration of the 117th National Flag Day. It aims to pay respect and give importance to the Philippine National Flag as well as to contribute to the rich history of the Province.

The said festival is consists of six days celebration with different sets of programs and activities prepared by the City Government of Imus in cooperation with its different agencies and departments, as well as through the effort of different public and private organizations. In recent time, the festival is annually celebrated with different kinds of events prepared for the Imuseños every month of May.

Wagayway Festival paves also a way to recognize the City of Imus as the “Flag Capital of the Philippines” and as the new tourist destination in the country.

Food Terminal and Timbangan ng Bayan

The Food Terminal and Timbangan ng Bayan was established in the Imus public market in order for the consumers to exercise their right in buying their goods. It also recognizes the development of trade and industry as well as the rising of economy in the city.

Likewise, City Mayor Emmanuel Maliksi established the Enforcement Committee, which is consist of eight (8) government agencies, to protect the consumers against the illegal trading and profiteering under the Republic Act 7581 or Price Act.

The project was through the effort of the City Government of Imus in cooperation with the Imus Local Price Monitoring Council (LPMC) and other government units.

e-Learning Contract Center (eLCC)

The E-Learning is an innovative and valuable tool that upgrades the quality of education among Imuseño students. It uses modern way of learning through technological advancements that equip the students with knowledge and developed competencies.

In relation, the City has established a public Wi-Fi in its different public schools that can be useful in the learning process of the Imuseño students through its new way of learning.

The said project is developed by the City Government of Imus headed by Mayor Emmanuel Maliksi and the Department of Education as well as active participation by the different public schools in the City.

Takbo…Uli… Kontra Droga (2nd Run)

The second fun run of Takbo Uli Kontra Drogra is a joint awareness campaign of Imus Philippine National Police (PNP) and Local Government of Imus City against illegal drugs held at District Mall Barangay Anabu 2-D, Imus City, Cavite on October 11, 2014.

The said activity enables the Imuseños to have a healthy lifestyle and comprehensive mind rather than engaging themselves on the use of illegal drugs through a 10k and 5k run. Aside from the winners, special awards were also given to those who had a vigorous participation on the said program as legend and youngest runner.

Search for the Cleanest and Greenest Barangay of the City of Imus

The Search for the Cleanest and Greenest Barangay is a campaign in search for the most environmental responsive among all 97 barangays in the City of Imus. The said competition opened from April to December 2014.

The project was conducted by the City Government of Imus headed by 3rd District Representative Alex “AA” Advincula, City Mayor Emmanuel Maliksi, Vice-Mayor Mandy Ilano, and City Councilor and Committee Chairman on Environmental Protection and Ecology L.A. Deocadis.

Maliksi Mega Job Fair

Maliksi Mega Job Fair is a City Government of Imus Project in collaboration with the Public Employment Service Office of Imus City (PESO-IMUS). It aims to provide the Imuseños with opportunities for employment and equip them with professional experience.
